City has no accountability as electric provider

I am 80 years old and a widow. I have lived in Camden almost 25 years, volunteered with children, took of children and volunteered in many other ways.

I have tried to be a good citizen but Camden Electric Co., city of Camden, makes it hard to live here in peace.

I don’t have a toaster, toaster oven or any other electrical eating device. I have loads of windows, so lights I don’t use. I use battery flash lights at night. I have a gas stove, gas water heater and gas dryer; all this and I live alone! My gas bill went down this month with all my gas appliances. There is no recourse for we poor because there is no accountability for this company. I know because I tried.

Last month my electric bill was $152, this month $218. As I said, I live alone, no heavy electrical appliances, no night use except maybe two hours of T.V.

What is this country coming to when, in the free country (smile) the old must choose between eating and paying bills?

I’m so glad there is a God and He does help when in need; he also punishes wrongdoers!
