NC tunes up for Buford match with rout

North Central warmed up for tonight’s key home match with Buford by breezing to a 3-0 win over Cheraw last Thursday.

The Lady Knights had little trouble with the hostesses in winning the first set, 25-7, taking the second, 25-8 before ending the night with a 25-13 victory to improve to 9-2 overall and 8-1 in conference play with the lone league loss coming to Buford in five sets on Sept. 5.

Alayna Johnson led Andy Johnson’s charges with 15 kills and eight service aces. She added a trio of digs. McKenna Arrants had 10 kills, two blocks and a dig while Aaliyah White had 29 assists to go along with five digs and a kill.

Madison Dixon contributed six kills, five digs, three aces and a pair of assists while Peyton Holley had 12 digs, three assists and two aces. Rhi Hendix had four kills with Tierra Preston having seven digs for the winners.
