NC HEAD COACH Tyronne Drakeford talks with Vance Randolph (11) and Tyler Faulkenberry during a time out from a game played earlier this season.

Jamel Jones returned from a two-game absence to provide North Central with its only touchdown in Friday’s 33-7 loss to Lee Central in a Region 4-AA contest played in Bishopville.

The setback was the second in as many conference starts for Tyronne Drakeford’s Knights who fell to 2-4 overall with the loss to the sixth-ranked hosts.

Jones’ touchdown came in the opening half in which the Stallions (6-1, 2-1 in 4-AA) led, 19-7 as the two sides headed into the locker room at intermission.

Jones scored on a two-yard run which was set up by a 24-yard Bubba Williamson to Tyler Faulkenberry completion.

The Knights threatened on several other occasions, marching deep into LC territory only to come away empty.

The Stallions ran for all four of their touchdowns. They received a pair from Mike Watters, who ran for 87 yards, and one each from Demetrius Dubose and Naquan Peeples.
