A visitation for Marvin German, 71, will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, with military honors rendered at 6:00 p.m.

Mr. German passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, October 1, 2017.  Born in Jacksonville, AR on August 28, 1946, he was the son of the late Coy German and Waydean Sticklin German.  He was a Vietnam Veteran and a Mason. Marvin enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family.

Surviving are his children, Regina (Jerry) Marthers and Martin Layne German; grandchildren, Tyler (Alicia) Marthers, Tanner Marthers, Taylor German, and Madison Layne German; great-grandchildren, Olivia Madison Baker and Trenton Blake Baker; siblings, Robert (Helen) German, Catherine (William) Dardenne, Roy German, and Mary “Sissy” Tillman; and his special hunting buddies, Richard Wittner, Britt Pate, Jimmy Key, Tracy Martin, Gary Debruhl, Charles Stokes, Dennis Dardenne, and Graciano Angeleas. He was predeceased by sister, Remonia Chapman; brothers, Jimmie and Rodger German.
