L-E LINEMAN WYATT CAMPBELL was selected to represent the Demons in the 2017 Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas football game.

Lugoff-Elgin senior offensive lineman Wyatt Campbell has been named to the 44-player South Carolina Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas’ football team

The 81st edition of the nation’s longest running high school all-star football game will be played on Saturday, Dec. 16 at Gibbs Stadium on the campus of Wofford College. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. as the top high school seniors players from South Carolina and North Carolina face off in their annual battle.

Campbell, a 6-foot-7, 290-pound offensive tackle, gave his verbal commitment to the University of South Carolina this past June. He is expected to enroll at the school in January.

A three-star recruit and a fourth-year starter at Lugoff-Elgin, Campbell is ranked as the 15th-best high school senior in the Palmetto State by 247Sports.com. He is ranked 19th by Rivals.com.

Campbell is the first Demon selected to play in the Shrine Bowl since former L-E kicker Grayson Quick played in the 2010 game.
