Yoga for Everybody: Led by Scott Freiberg, this class offers a welcoming environment to practice a gentle form of Hatha yoga and focus on movement, breath, mindfulness and the place they meet. This class is perfect for the beginner or anyone seeking a gentler practice. Please bring a mat or towel and wear clothes that are comfortable and allow a range of movement. Registration and a waiver are required before your first class.

Caregiver Support Group: Some of us are accompanying our loved ones on the journey of dementia, Alzheimer’s, traumatic injury and other physical and cognitive impairments.  This introduces to our lives ambiguous loss (they are here but they aren’t) and ongoing challenges to our daily living routines.  A group of us gather monthly to discuss concerns and ideas for supporting our loved ones and ourselves while finding emotional respite by sharing with those who understand. Is It Really That Bad for Us?  Let’s Talk About Tobacco! As part of our South Carolina Healthy Lifestyles Series, the Rembert Area Community Coalition (RACC) is proud to offer a community presentation and conversation about tobacco related health disparities in Kershaw County.

This informative event is designed for the entire community! It will feature a photo exhibit, a guest speaker, and a rich conversation with friends and neighbors. Together we will explore the leading immediate and long-term inherent risks, dangers, and vulnerabilities related to tobacco use and exposure. We will share the most recent scientific news about the effects of tobacco use on primary tobacco consumers. In addition, we will discuss advancements in our understanding of the dangerous consequences of indirect exposure and consumption for families, friends, and perfect stranger alike. Please join us!
