Weekly Programs

Tuesdays, 6:30-7:30 p.m. -- Yoga for Everybody: Led by Scott Freiberg, this class offers a welcoming environment to practice a gentle form of Hatha yoga and focus on movement, breath, mindfulness and the place they meet. This class is perfect for the beginner or anyone seeking a gentler practice. Please bring a mat or towel and wear clothes that are comfortable and allow a range of movement. A waiver is required before your first class. No yoga Dec. 26

Wednesdays, 10:30-11 a.m. -- Get Set to Read! (Ages 3-4) Stories, music and movement to introduce your child to books.

Wednesdays, 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. -- Better World Builders (Ages 5-10) A story or a book talk and a building project. No storytime Dec. 27.

Thursdays, 10:30-11 a.m. -- Get Set to Read! (Ages 3-4) Stories, music and movement to introduce your child to books. No storytime Dec. 21.

Thursdays, 11:15 a.m. - noon -- Mother Goose on the Loose! (Ages 0-2) Join us for rhymes, books, music, movement & playtime. No storytime Dec.21 and 28.

Friday, December 1, 10:30-11:30 a.m. -- Toddler Art: For ages 2-5. Create art with your child.

Friday, December 1, 1-2 p.m. -- New! Toddler Art: For ages 2-5. Create art with your child.

Monday, December 4, 3:30 - 5 p.m. -- Holiday Arts & Crafts: For ages 7 and older. Drop by to create one or more holiday ornaments at a variety of stations. All materials supplied.

Tuesday, December 5, 4:30 - 6 p.m. -- Ugly Holiday Sweaters! Come and bring your sweatshirts, sweaters, and tees so we can totally uglify them. We know you have a party or family gathering where they’d be a hit.

Wednesday, December 6, 3:30 - 5 p.m. -- Club LEGO: LEGO play with friends.

Friday, December 8, 10:30 a.m. - noon -- Introduction to Computers: Learn the parts of the computer and how to use a mouse. This class is for those who have never used a computer before. Class limited to first five individuals, however, additional students may sit in on the class without hands-on use of the computer.

Saturday, December 9, 2-5 p.m. -- Game Day Afternoon! Join us for an afternoon of board game fun for all ages. Bring your own or play some of ours.

Monday, December 11, 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. -- Caregiver Support Group: Some of us are accompanying our loved ones on the journey of dementia, Alzheimer’s, traumatic injury and other physical and cognitive impairments. This introduces to our lives ambiguous loss (they are here but they aren’t) and ongoing challenges to our daily living routines. A group of us gather monthly to discuss concerns and ideas for supporting our loved ones and ourselves while finding emotional respite by sharing with those who understand. Tuesday, December 12, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. -- SC Works: Representatives from SC Works will be on hand to assist job searchers inside the library.

Tuesday, December 12, 2:30 - 4 p.m. -- Internet Explorer 11: Learn about a browser, search engines, and basic online safety. Class limited to first five individuals, however, additional students may sit in on the class without hands-on use of the computer.

Tuesday, December 12, 5 - 6 p.m. -- No Fat Holiday! It’s that time of year where spending time with family can also mean lots of tasty foods to snack and dine on, sabotaging our efforts to eat healthily. Come prepared to learn ways to decrease the calories while keeping the taste through a healthy holiday food safety session. Presented by Faith Isreal, MS Clemson Extension Food Safety & Nutrition Agent.

Friday, December 15, 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. -- Computer lab: Computer Lab is a time for staff to assist with the use of research tools, online databases, email setup, job search tools, online job applications, and selected programs. Staff may also assist with most laptops, tablets, and smart phones using downloadable materials from Jasmine and hoopla. Please bring your device with you.

Wednesday, December 20, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. -- Camden Book Club: We’ll be discussing If the Creek don’t Rise by Leah Weiss. New members always welcome.

Tuesday, December 19, 7- 8:30 p.m. -- Casual Yarn: Inviting local yarn enthusiasts, knitters and crocheters to bring their current projects to meet and socialize with like-minded crafters. All levels are welcome from beginners to experts. This is not a class; however, some basic help may be available from other group members in attendance.

Thursday, December 21, 7-7:30 PM -- PJ Stories: Put on your PJs, bring your favorite teddy or doll and join us for bedtime stories and fun. For all ages.

Saturday, December 16, 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. -- KC Rocks! Painting Fun: Painting rocks and hiding them around for others to find is all the rage! Hiders and finders enjoy posting them on Facebook in groups such as KC Rocks. Bring the kids, paint as a family and, then take your masterpieces home to hide around town. Supplies will be provided. Be sure to wear something that can get messy in case of accidents!
