Camden City Council will hold what should prove to be a relatively short meeting tonight. According to a copy of the proposed agenda, council will receive an audit report for Fiscal Year 2017, which ended back on June 30, from Mary Ellen Green of Cantey Tiller Pierce & Green.

Council will also consider proclaiming Friday, Dec. 8 as Arbor Day in Camden.

Council will then consider two ordinances. Council will first take up second and final reading on an ordinance authorizing the purchase of 718 York St., directly across Campbell Street from the pickleball courts at the nearly completed city tennis complex.

Then council will consider first reading of an ordinance amending Chapter 152 of the Camden City Code through the adoption of new flood maps.

Tonight’s meeting begins at 6 p.m. on the second floor of Camden City Hall, 1000 Lyttleton St., and is open to the public.
