With the addition of offensive lineman Seth Branham to the South squad, Lugoff-Elgin will have a pair of players participating in Saturday’s Touchstone Energy Cooperatives Bowl.

The annual all-star contest will kick off at noon at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach and can be heard live over Kool 102.7 FM.

Branham (6-2, 270) was named as a replacement for Dillon’s Dawson Dove, who was injured during last Saturday’s Class 3A championship game. Branham will join fellow Demon senior teammate Malik Harkness (6-5, 280) on the offensive line for the South squad.

Earlier this year, L-E senior offensive tackle Wyatt Campbell (6-6, 285) was selected to play in the Dec. 16 Shrine Bowl Game in Spartanburg. Since then, the USC commit underwent left knee surgery and was forced to miss the Demons’ final two games of the season as well as being unable to play in the Shrine Bowl.

The three linemen helped L-E to a 7-5 final record which ended in the second round of the 4A playoffs. They also played a central role for an offense which piled up 4,338 yards (a 361.5 yards per game average) with 2,643 coming on the ground.
