Hundreds of kids and grown-ups of all ages lined Broad Street between Laurens and Bull streets to watch the 2017 Kershaw County Christmas Parade on Saturday morning.

The parade kicked off at exactly 10 a.m., led by Camden Mayor Alfred Mae Drakeford and the Camden High School Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps. Other schools featured in the parade included North Central High School and Camden Military Academy, which appeared to include the entire student body. Also featured in the parade were law enforcement, police and emergency vehicles and personnel; various churches and civic organizations; and candidates for public office.

As it traditionally does, the parade ended with the arrival of Santa Claus greeting girls and boys from atop Camden Fire Department Ladder No. 11.
