First, second and third place winners of First Palmetto Bank and the Kershaw County Department of Parks and Recreation’s annual Christmas card contest show off their winning cards and prize ribbons.

On Dec. 7, the Kershaw County Department of Parks and Recreation and First Palmetto Bank announced the winners of their annual Christmas card contest.

This year’s overall winner is Madalyn Tilton, a 5th grader from Midway Elementary School. Her card will be used as the county’s official Christmas card.

The contest is designed to give elementary school students in Kershaw County the opportunity to show off their creativity and artistic skills by sending a Christmas Card. It also gives students the chance to win cash prizes from First Palmetto.

Students were asked to design an original card with an original verse on a piece of plain white or construction paper. First, second and third place winners were selected for each grade level (Kindergarten through 5th Grade). First place winners received $25 prizes; second place winners received $15 prizes; and third place winners received $10 prizes -- all supplied by First Palmetto.
