I’d like to take this opportunity to express our deepest appreciation and thanks for making Christmas 2017 a wonderful success.

Thanks to generous community efforts in Kershaw County, The Salvation Army of the Midlands raised over $11,018.35 with our red kettle campaign this Christmas season. In Kershaw County, 91 children from 34 families received Christmas presents and grocery gift cards for the holidays.

To everyone who gave at the red kettle, adopted an angel, or gave toys at any of our toy drive locations, you played a part and made it possible!

With tremendous volunteer support, the holidays were made bright for children and families throughout the Midlands. This is truly an example of a community effort and showcases the kindness and generosity of the Midlands.

Many of our efforts to help those in need during this time of year would not be possible without the support and volunteer hours from businesses, local schools, organizations and individuals.

As we move into 2018, the need in this community is still great. One option to support the efforts of the Salvation Army would be a regular yearly contribution. This will directly help meet the needs of children and families every single day through our local social programs and services. Donations can be designated to support our children’s after school reading program, food baskets, meals for the homeless, rental/utility assistance, clothing, and disaster services.

We look forward to working with you in 2018! Again, thank you for a wonderful 2017 Christmas season.
