Calling all treasure hunters and bargain seekers! Historic Camden Revolutionary War Site will host its 15th annual Fall Market Day fundraiser on Oct. 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission and parking are free and Historic Camden’s food concession will offer chili dogs, homemade sandwiches and assorted baked goods.

The diverse selection and affordable prices will beckon buyers to browse the vendor tables laden with antiques, attic treasurers and assorted hand-craft items, including custom-made jewelry and plants.

Many of the vendors have been regulars to Market Day for years for the simple perk that they keep 100 percent of their profits. Vendors selling used goods are asked that the merchandise be in good resale condition, and, if selling food, please take-home bake goods only, such as whole pies and cakes.

Spaces are available in either the lower ground parking lot or the grassy areas between the historic buildings. Each space is approximately 15 x 15 feet in size and vendors may rent more than one. Vendors are asked to provide their own tables and chairs. A small tent that does not exceed the size of the rental space is permitted. A small truck from which to sell merchandise is also permitted in the space for those who set up in the parking lot.

The space rental fee for an antique dealer and general vendor is $30; the non-profit rate is $15. The fee is payable by cash, check or MasterCard/Visa and must accompany a completed registration form and submitted to the Historic Camden office at 222 Broad Street by 4:30 p.m. Oct. 8. Walk-on vendors who arrive the day of the event are welcome to set up for a rental fee of $40 per space, payable by cash or check.

From 7 to 9 a.m. the day of the event, registered vendors will sign in at the front entrance of the lower grounds. There are no assigned spaces and set up is a first come basis. Each vendor will be given an 18th century shilling to remit to Historic Camden’s food concession for one complimentary cup of coffee.

In case of bad weather, no rain date is scheduled. All prepaid vendor fees will be considered donations to support the museum’s education programs.
