JoeAnna Parnell

JoeAnna Parnell, the daughter of Tiffany Parnell and Jerry Chivers of Camden, made the most out of a recent trip to the Big Apple after attending modeling classes at the Fine Arts Center (FAC) of Kershaw County with Stephanie Keel, long-time agent and FAC staff member. JoeAnna, age 8, attended the Connect NYC event in the heart of Manhattan at a theatre on Park Avenue She walked the runway; slated; and performed a TV commercial and monologue in front of the industry’s top casting directors, agents and managers.

Parnell received two callbacks: One with the legendary Barry Shapiro of Herman and Lipson Casting, and one with John Shea of Frontier Booking. The audition for Shapiro was held in his casting office on 9th Avenue. Her audition for Shea took place at Pearl Casting Studios in New York. Both callbacks were held the very next day after her audition. After her successful interviews with top agents, JoeAnna and her family are now considering spending a little time in New York during the summer months to pursue her career. Parnell plans to continue to attend her training at the FAC this spring. She will be represented locally by Keel, who will be on the lookout for more auditions for the young Parnell. Plans are also in the works for JoeAnna to meet with several agencies based in the Southeast.

For more information, contact Keel at (803) 427-5507.
