Several years ago, the Camden Hobkirk Hill Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, initiated a scholarship program for Kershaw County high school seniors to support their future academic endeavors. Since then, more than $12,000 has been awarded to deserving students attending such schools as Clemson, the University of South Caroline, College of Charleston, Auburn and The Citadel. Funds are solely raised through an annual benefit luncheon at Springdale Hall Club.  This year’s luncheon, to be held on March 8, will feature a presentation on “Tasha Tudor” given by guest speaker Anne Sauls. Additionally, there will be a silent auction show casing exclusive prizes such as dinner for eight at Aberdeen, catered by Jack Brantley; dinner and music with Billy Shepherd; and a seven-day mountain retreat, as well as chances to win wine, dinner, and the arts and spa packages.

Please join this event and help us support Kershaw County’s future.
