The Camden Garden Club will hold its next meeting Monday at the Karesh Wing Long Term Care wing at Kershaw Health. We are very lucky to have such a wonderful retirement facility in our town. Every year the club holds this month’s meeting at the facility. All the staff and residents really look forward to it. The chairman/organizer is always different, so every year the program is different. There is always some kind of music with singing and entertainment and all with a Valentine’s Day theme. The smiles and joy that this brings the residents makes it so rewarding and fulfilling.

Simple things like a touch of a hand, or the stroke of their hair can mean so much. It is a very well attended meeting for this reason, and Carol Kent and Susan Prettyman, who are sharing the duties of chairing this program, are putting their heads together to come up with a super special program. They will then have assistance from Squeaky Wangensteen, Nancy Langston, Flonnie West and Joan Corbin to co-ordinate and prepare a wide assortment of tea sandwiches and tasty treats keeping in mind some of the dietary restrictions of some of the participants. They will all join together and transform the dining hall into a festive party palace. This is a meeting not to be missed.
