All interested students and their families are invited to attend Camden High School’s (CHS) College Fair on Saturday, Feb. 17 from 10 a.m. to noon.

“This is a chance for attendees to ask questions and get a ‘first impression’ of post-secondary options without traveling around the state,” CHS guidance counselor Pam Chickering said. “We are opening the college fair countywide to allow all Kershaw County high school students the opportunity to explore options for their future after high school.”

Participating schools include Arclabs Welding School, Central Carolina Technical College, Charleston Southern University, Claflin University, Clemson University, Coastal Carolina University, Columbia International University, Francis Marion University, Morris College, Presbyterian College, S.C. State University, University of South Carolina, Universal Technical Institute, University of South Carolina Beaufort, University of South Carolina Upstate and Winthrop University. The National Guard and professional development and training services will also be available.

Chickering said that this is an opportunity for students and parents to have face-to-face conversations with representatives of post-secondary options. Representatives will be providing information on an individual and small group basis.
