The Kershaw County Board of School Trustees is holding a special called meeting tonight, the second in three weeks, to continue work on searching for a replacement for current Kershaw County School District Superintendent Dr. Frank Morgan. Morgan announced in January that he will retire at the end of June.

After opening the meeting, the board plans to vote to enter executive session to conduct search firm interviews and receive their contractual proposals. The board will also use the executive session to receive legal advice in connection with the superintendent search.

There is a place on the agenda for the board to take action after the executive session, although that is no guarantee that any action will take place.

Tonight’s meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the board room at the district’s offices, 2029 West DeKalb St., Camden.
