Mara Jones joins Kershaw Health Board of Trustees

KershawHealth is pleased to announce the addition of Mara Horton Jones to its board of trustees.

A native of Kershaw County, Jones is the deputy director for the ALPHA Behavioral Health Center. She has an extensive history of working in the field of alcohol and other drugs of abuse and behavioral health treatment services for over 20 years.

She holds a Master of Education in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of South Carolina and is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, National Addiction Counselor II and Substance Abuse Professional. Jones enjoys being active in the community as evidenced by her history of serving on the Foster Care Review Board, Kershaw County school board, and currently, serving on the State School Board of Education.

Jones is married to Jimmy Jones Jr. and they have an 18-year-old son, Taylor, a senior at Lugoff-Elgin High School.

“We welcome Mara to our board and look forward to her leadership as well as the expertise that she brings to the table from her work at the ALPHA Center,” KershawHealth CEO Terry Gunn said.
