King Haiglar Garden Club Meets Monday

King Haiglar Garden Club will meet on Monday, at the home of Delaine Pearson. Harriett The program will be on butterflies and will be presented by Mary Ann Hurst.

The theme for artistic arrangement is “All of nature astonishes.”  Judges for artistic and horticulture will be Julie Trott, Nancy Wylie and Grace Young.

Garden Maintenance for March will be Sandra Lease and Marjorie Huntington.

March’s flower is daffodil which symbolizes chivalry, respect, modesty and faithfulness.

Gardening Tips for March (Clemson Extension):

• Pruning -- March is a nice time to prune your repeat-blooming roses such as floribunda and hybrid tea roses, just as the buds break dormancy.  Do not prune your once-flowering roses now, but instead prune them after the bloom.
