Saxophonists Bob Loryea and Johnny Fellers, along with trumpeter Debbie Royson, practice for the next concert.

The Camden Community Concert Band (CCCB) will present their winter concert on Sunday, at 3 p.m. at Camden High School. The concert is free and open to the public. The CCCB is in its 38th year of presenting music to the Camden and Kershaw County area. The band has four concerts per year – two in Rectory Square Park and two at Camden High. Sunday’s concert features “In The Bleak Midwinter” (a tribute to Pat Wylie), “William Tell Overture”, “Gettysburg” and “Band of Brothers”.

The CCCB is under the direction of conductor William “BJ” Braizer and associate conductor Robert Wertz.

“This concert promises to be one of the best concerts in many years”, said Johnny Deal, the band’s publicity chair. “The musical selections bring out the best in the band and there are many crowd favorites included,” Deal added.
