The Price House Commission would like to thank all of our volunteers who helped make the Feb. 24 Soulicious Festival such a success. Sammie Tucker headed the NAACP chefs and volunteers. The food was delicious, especially the fish, and the volunteers helped the children with all types of games.

Sam Dennis and Pat Holiday, along with Eddie Cabbagestalk -- what can we say? The music, gospel, drumming, just everything was spell-binding and a joyous way to celebrate the day.

The opening of the African American Cultural Center -- we thank you, Katherine Richardson and the Camden Archives, for making this possible -- a dream came true that day.

And a big thank you to Joanna Craig for her wisdom, guidance and energy, without which we could not have achieved our goals.

Suzi Sale, director of tourism, kept us on track with publicity and advice. Thank you for that, and your time.

Lastly, to everyone involved, thank you for helping us to achieve our goal of a celebration of life, laughter, love and heritage. As Sam Dennis summed it up, “The Lord surely blessed this day.”
