Lugoff-Elgin teammates Zac Branham and Jake Laffin and North Central’s Cam Holley were named to the South Carolina Baseball Coaches Association All-State baseball teams.

Branham and Laffin were first-time 4A All-state choices while Holley was selected to the 2A squad for the second consecutive season.

Branham, who is signed to play at Florence-Darlington Technical College, led the Demons (21-9) mound staff with six wins in eight decisions while pitching to a team-best 1.42 ERA. The right-hander worked 54.1 innings, fanned a team-high 67 batters while issuing 20 walks.

Laffin locked down the first base job for the Demons in 2018 and rewarded Stokes and company by leading the team with a .403 batting average with a team-best .514 slugging percentage. His .500 on-base mark tied for the team lead.

Laffin’s six doubles were second-most for L-E while his 22 singles were second on the team with his 29 base hits tying him for third best. He was third on the team with 17 runs batted in and fifth in runs scored with 17.

Holley is coming off a senior campaign at North Central in which he led the Knights with a .441 batting average. His 22 base hits led the team while he also had three doubles and a triple while driving in 10 runs and scoring 16. He also had six stolen bases in seven attempts.
