Community Concert Choir Spring Concert is Sunday

The Community Concert Choir, now in its second year, will present its spring concert this Sunday at 4 p.m. at Bethesda Presbyterian Church, 502 DeKalb St., Camden. The program will include a set of patriotic numbers, a set of time-honored sacred numbers, a Hoagy Carmichael set and a set of favorite show tunes from such blockbuster shows as Oklahoma, The Wizard of Oz and The Roar of the Greasepaint, The Smell of the Crowd. The choir will wrap up the concert with some crowd-pleasing numbers from George Gershwin and Duke Ellington. The Community Choir is comprised of local residents with a love of singing and is directed by Bo Dickinson, director of music at Bethesda Church and a graduate of Westminster Choir College. The Community Choir is sponsored by the Kershaw County Music Association, an affiliate of the Fine Arts Center (FAC) of Kershaw County.
