Area students graduate from GIT

Nettles named to Webb School honor roll

Ian Buckley of Camden and Elisabeth Brown of Elgin recently earned degreesfrom the Georgia Institute of Technology, located in Atlanta, Ga.

Buckley has earned a master of Science in Electrical and Computer Enginnering and Brown earned a bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering.

Buckley and Brown were among approximately 3,700 undergraduate and graduate students who received degrees during Georgia Tech’s 255th Commencement exercises on May 4-5, 2018, at the McCamish Pavilion.

One of the nation’s leading research universities, more than 25,000 undergraduate and graduate students are enrolled and Georgia Tech is ranked in the nation’s top 10 public universities by U.S. News and World Report.

Nettles on honor roll

Jin Nettles, an 11th grader at the Webb School, located in Bell Buckle, Tenn., has been named to the A Honor Roll.

An independent college preparatory day/boarding school for grades 6-12, The Webb School is the oldest continuously operating school of its kind in the South. The school has a dual emphasis on academic excellence and character development.
