County Planning and Zoning expands online services

Monday, the Kershaw County Planning and Zoning Department expanded its online services with the launch of its Evolve Planning Software to the public. Contractors, trade companies, and owner-builders will now be able to apply for building permits, schedule inspections, pay fees, and receive permit approvals online. The new online service will also give the public the ability to not only apply for building permits, but check the status of their permits at any given time.

Now, the public can access these services at A link to the new online services will also be available on the Planning and Zoning page of the county’s website.

Michael Conley, Kershaw County Planning and Zoning Director, led the search and implementation of the new software.

“We knew we needed to make these services available to our constituents online,” Conley said. “Our department has spent months with Infovision Software Inc. to ensure the implementation of the Evolve Planning Software enhances the services our office has and will continue to provide to our county.”

Evolve Planning is a software used for planning, permitting, code enforcement, and licensing departments from Infovision Software Inc. For more than 15 years, Infovision has worked with the public sector to provide software solutions for streamlining departments, digitizing processes, and offering online services.
