Looking for a little safe outdoor adventure for your children?

The 2018 Conservation Day Camp, sponsored by the Kershaw County Conservation District, Clemson Extension Service and S.C. Dept. of Natural Resources is currently accepting participants for its 2018 Conservation day Camp.

Starting Monday, Aug. 6, natural resource professionals will guide young explorers through five days of adventure at Goodale State Park. This camp promises to be both a fun and educational experience as explorers: take nature walks, learn to identify birds, plants and other wildlife. They will improve their skills at fishing and learn archery with SC DNR instructors. Daily activities will conclude back at base camp, with question and answer sessions, a light lunch, and parent pickup at 2:30 p.m.

The camp sessions are held from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6 through Friday, Aug. Drop off is at Goodale State Park Community Building each day.

Children ages 8 to 12 years old are eligible to particpate.

Registration is $50 per camper and is ongoing through Friday, Aug. 3. Spaces are limited to 15 children and a medical release is required for each camper.
