Due to torrential rains which rendered the playing field at Riley Park in Sumter unplayable, Tuesday's scheduled second game of the second round state American Legion playoff series between Kershaw County and the Sumter P15s was postponed until Wednesday.

Weather permitting, the game will be played tonight following the Junior American Legion contest between Kershaw County and Sumter at 5:30 p.m. at Riley Park. The two sides are knotted at 1-1 in their best-of-three second round series after Post 17 beat Sumter on Tuesday, 12-6. The Junior P15s took game one, 3-1.

As far as the senior series is concerned, KC took a 10-9 victory in nine innings at American Legion Park in Camden on Monday night. Game three is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday in Camden. Should games four and/or five need to be played, those contests will be in Sumter and Camden, respectively, on Friday and Saturday. Friday will be a 7 p.m. game with no starting time set for a possible Saturday pairing.
