Colleges, universities honor area students

Seton Hall University recently named SanDaisha Lee of Camdento the Spring 2018 Dean’s list.

Kershaw resident, Tristan Silvers has attended Newberry College’s Wolf Pack Welcome, the college summer orientation. Wolf Pack Welcome is a one day program designed to help first-year students transition smoothly from high school to Newberry College. Activities included: a team building session with other classmates, an academic session, a technology session and an advisement session with an academic advisor. Fall semester begins Tuesday, Aug. 21.

Megan E. Fletcher of Elgin received the following from The University of Alabama: Bachelor of Arts. UA awarded some 5,436 degrees during spring 2018 commencement May 4-6.

The University of Alabama offers more than 200 undergraduate, graduate and professional programs.

The University of Alabama is the state’s oldest and largest public institution of higher education.

Lisa Martinez of Elgin recently earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine  degree from Washington State University, located in Pullman, Wash. Her degree was awarded during the Spring 2018 commencement exercises.
