We would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to Sandy DuBose, who donated her 20 acre farm to Fostering Fosters Animal Rescue. What an incredibly selfless, generous gift!

As Ms. DuBose said, “For many years, this land has provided for -- and blessed me with -- a fruitful life.  I want to know that that it will be used for the benefit of animals for years to come. I trust Fostering Foster to make sure that happens.”

Fostering Fosters, which was founded by Camden native Andrea Walker, has been rescuing homeless dogs and placing them with forever homes since 2012. Fostering Foster became a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization in 2015 and to date has rescued, fostered and placed more than 3,000 dogs that were at high risk of being euthanized or remaining homeless.

This is yet another example of why this place we call home is so special and amazing. It is very true that the heart and soul of a community can be effectively judged by how well it treats its less fortunate residents. That Kershaw County cares not only for its people but also for its animals speaks volumes to the heart and soul of our community.

We do greatly appreciate the loving hearts, hard work and dedication that people in animal welfare devote to their cause, especially here in Kershaw County. We have quite a few organizations and people who are involved in this and we are thankful for all of you.

Surely, tails are wagging wildly all over the county.
