It seems like only yesterday we were congratulating graduates and wishing everyone a happy summer break.

And yet, here we are, two and half months later, and here we are launching into the new school year.

We hope the first day went smoothly, although granted, we’re guessing it was a bit hectic. Still, the first day is always fun and exciting for newbies and “old hands” alike.

Once again, we implore the motoring public to exercise extra caution, especially during these first days of the school year. With buses back on the road, parents dropping off and picking up their children and kids walking to and from school, it may take a little time for schedules to iron out and everyone to get back into the swing of things.

We also realize all the road construction everywhere, especially in and around Camden, is adding to the confusion – and very likely the frustration levels – involved with adjusting to school year traffic patterns. So we ask everyone to please be patient and understanding – and, believe us, we know just how difficult that can be right now.

As always, we wish our students all the best for a happy, safe and successful school year.
