FAC annual meeting is Sept. 6

The Fine Arts Center (FAC) of Kershaw County will hold its annual meeting on Thursday, September 6 at 7:30 a.m. in the historic Douglas-Reed House on the FAC’s campus. Donors, friends, volunteers, as well as the public, are invited to attend this annual event. This is the first year that the annual meeting will be held as a breakfast. The FAC will review its accomplishments during the 2017-2018 season, as well as announce new classes and events and share plans for the 2018-19 season.

The FAC staff and board of directors serve as hosts for this annual meeting celebration. Guests will be able to gather socially and enjoy breakfast items, along with coffee and tea prior to the business meeting. The annual meeting breakfast will be catered by Ashley’s of McCaskill’s Farm.

Following the light breakfast, a brief business meeting presided over by former FAC board president Boyd Black and current president Beth Ford, along with FAC interim directors Rose Sheheen and Linda Shaylor. There is no charge for the annual meeting and the public is encouraged to attend.

The FAC is a 501(c)(3) organization funded in part by grants from the S.C. Arts Commission, which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts, the city of Camden, Kershaw County and BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, along with donations from businesses and individuals.
