LSUMC welcomes new senior pastor

Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church (UMC) welcomes the Rev. James Michael Arant as its new senior pastor. Arant has served God in local churches as a pastor since 1995. He received his education from Spartanburg Methodist College, Coker College and the Divinity School of Duke University. While attending Coker, he served at a three-point charge as a student pastor and continued to do so while attending Duke. He had the honor of being named South Carolina Annual Conference Merit Scholar. He has a beautiful wife, Tara, and two sons, Elijah and Nathan.  His father and brother are elders in the South Carolina UMC, and his brother-in-law is a Southern Baptist preacher.
