Thank you to the city of Camden, Downtown Camden and the citizens of our county for a wonderful event on Friday night, September 7. Our own Patrick Davis and his Midnight Choir filled the Town Green with song, with friends and with good vibes. The Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County has as its mission to provide superior educational, instructional and entertainment opportunities that elevate and enrich the community for all residents of Kershaw County and beyond. We certainly fulfilled that mission on Friday night.

We are most appreciative of our sponsors -- Downtown Camden, Graham Realty, Merrill Lynch, Michael and Staige DeBenedetti, Joy and Tony Scully, and the Lily Pad. Their support made this a reality.

To continue bringing the arts to the citizens of Kershaw County, the Fine Arts Center’s 22nd Carolina Downhome Blues Festival starts on Oct. 4 with a kick-off party at the Fine Arts Center.

Paul Allen, a co-founder of Microsoft said, “In my own philanthropy and business endeavors, I have seen the critical role that the arts play in stimulating creativity and in developing vital communities … the arts have a crucial impact on our economy and are an important catalyst for learning, discovery, and achievement in our country.”

Thank you Camden and Kershaw County!
