After having this weekend off, the Camden and North Central football teams will begin South Carolina High School League playoff action on Friday, Nov. 9.

Camden (7-3), which finished third in Region 4, will open the AAA Upper State football playoffs with a trip to Seneca for a 7:30 p.m. game. The Bobcats (5-5) lost to Pendleton, 30-27, on Monday night to finish second in Region 1.

North Central (7-3), which finished second in Region 4, will host St. Joseph’s of Greenville in next Friday’s AA Upper State opener in Boonetown. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. The visiting Knights (5-5) finished fourth in Region 1.

The Camden Military Academy football team was to have hosted the S.C. Titans last Friday in the regular season finale. The visitors, however, could only field nine players so they were forced to forfeit the contest to the Spartans, who improved to 4-3 on the season.

CMA will now travel to Gray, Tenn., to take on Trinity Academy on Saturday, Nov. 10 in a 2 p.m. game for the conference championship.
