Walk-A-Thon to prevent teen pregnancy planned for May 14

The Camden First United Methodist Women, in with association the South Carolina Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy and Family Resource Center  will host a Teenage Pregnancy Prevention 3K Walk-a-thon May 14 in Camden.
The Camden First United Methodist Women has identified the SC Campaign as the beneficiary of this year’s Walk-a-thon which will bring awareness to teen pregnancy prevention in the Kershaw County.

The 3k Walk-a-thon will begin at 704 W. DeKalb St., in front of Camden First United Methodist Church. The event will start at 9 a.m., with registration beginning at 8 a.m. Parking is available at the rear of the church.

The cost to register is $25 per person.  For students 12-18 years of age the cost is $10 and for groups of 3 or more the cost is $15 per person. Pre-registration is encouraged.

All participants will receive a T-shirt and goody bag. Lunch will be served afterward.
