It’s crunch time! For most seniors in our county, most are experiencing the dreaded “senioritis.” Students across the county, including me, are faced with many difficult decisions that will ultimately impact the rest of our lives. Decisions such as where to go to college, what to major in, whether to go straight into the work force, or joining the armed forces.

The last few months for the class of 2011 can be stressful and possibly the best few months of your high school career. The last few months for high school seniors are filled with senior superlatives, yearbook signings, college visits, awards nights, final exams, all leading up to graduation. Most of us have dreamed of this day from the time we entered into school all wondering, “How much longer until graduation?”

Although most of us cannot wait to walk across that stage and get our diploma, most of us are going to miss our high school days. We’re going to miss most of the teachers that inspired us to do great things, our high school sports and activities, classmates, and those devious plans to try to talk the teacher into postponing a test or not assign homework.

Mixed feelings will overcome a lot of people as they walk out to “Pomp and Circumstance.” Most will be filled with happiness, sadness and joy. Seniors will be turning the page in their lives to the next chapter. Whether going into college, the work force, or the military, one thing is certain, the class of 2011 has one thing that can be shared amongst us all: we worked hard, passed classes, and are graduating in a few short months.
