Hospice volunteer honored for service

Eva Cook of Camden was among volunteers honored by LifeCare Hospice of S.C. in recognition of National Volunteer Week.

 Cook earned the Patient & Family Care Volunteer Award, having recorded 291 service hours in 2010. She also received gold level recognition of the President’s Volunteer Service Award. The President’s Volunteer Service Award was created to recognize volunteers who reached a high standard of service in a 12-month period

A Coker College student studying social work, Cook will graduate with a bachelor’s degree this month.  At Coker, she is vice president of the Social Work Student Organization.
