Olin Huggins Sr.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Olin Shiver Huggins, Sr., 74, of Rembert, will be held Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Pisgah Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Matt Mims will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday, May 6, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Kornegay Funeral Home Camden Chapel. Memorials may be made in Mr. Huggins memory to Pisgah Baptist Church, Cemetery Fund, 8620 Black River Road, Rembert, SC 29128.

Mr. Huggins died Wednesday, May 04, 2011. Born in Lee County, he was the son of the late Walter Eugene Huggins and Bessie Shiver Huggins. Mr. Huggins retired from Bowman Distribution and Jones Pontiac Nissan. He was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church where he was Chairman of the Deacons. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved gardening and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family.

Mr. Huggins is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gladys Baker Huggins; daughters, Jenny Ard and her husband, Buddy of Pisgah Crossroads and Terry Brian and her husband Larry of Sumter; sons, Olin "Buddy" Shiver Huggins, Jr. and his wife, Elizabeth of Pisgah Crossroads, Dale Huggins of Pisgah Crossroads and Glenn Huggins and his wife, Linda of Summerville formerly of Lugoff; 13 grandchildren and his beloved four legged friend, "Jack" He was predeceased by his sister, Alma Felder and brother, Raymond Huggins.

Kornegay Funeral Home Camden Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
