Sweater Weather!

Hot dog! It’s sweater weather, again! Finally, it’s cool enough in the mornings so that a sweater may feel good.  Even in the house.

There are things to think about now. When is it time to turn on the heat?  Most people I know want to “be the last one on the block” to heat the house. They want to wait until November.  Some even want to wait until December, when the calendar says "winter.” Bragging rights!

This is a big deal. We want to save money. We care about our natural resources. We know that our heating and cooling needs are using up coal, oil and gas too fast.

This is a great time of year, when we don’t really need heating or cooling. So hooray!  ENJOY!

If past experience repeats itself, we have only a few weeks of this. Then it starts to get COLD! One good thing to do is think about what it costs to heat when the weather gets cold. Put that much aside during the “free time.” Give it to CCM or other agencies that help people who don’t have the money to keep warm in the winter.

Word List: sweater, enough,  resources,  experience.
