Dogs, Demons and Knights hold spring football games this week

Putting a different twist on their respective spring football games, Camden and Lugoff-Elgin and North Central will give their fans a sneak-peek into the 2011 fall season when they play their spring intra-squad games this week.

Here is the information on all threes spring games:

Spring Fling at Zemp: Camden High School’s Junior Achievement Company, Bulldog Enterprises, will be hosting a Spring Fling Carnival during Thursday night’s game at Zemp Stadium.

The spring game itself will kick off at 6 p.m.

From 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m., Bulldog Enterprises will be sponsoring events inside and outside of Zemp Stadium. There will be an inflatable obstacle course, food, fun and games as part of the annual Spring Fling Carnival.

The Bulldogs are coming off a second-place finish in Region 6-AAA.

Demons ready to heat things up: On Friday, the Lugoff-Elgin High School Football team will hold its annual Blue and White Spring Game at Demon Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m.

At the conclusion of the intra-squad scrimmage, awards will be presented along with a cookout for players and their parents.

Donations will be accepted at the gate to help offset the cost of this event. The home side of L-E stadium will be the only gate open for this event.

The Demons are the defending Region 6-AAA football champions.

Doubleheader on tap in Boonetown: North Central football fans will geta chnce to see their Knights in a late Friday afternoon game at Knights Stadium in Boonetown.

Starting at 4 p.m., 2011 version of the Knights will square off in the Green vs. Gold football game which is slated to begin at a pproximately 4 p.m.

The Knights will be looking for their third straight season of improvement under head coach Louis Clyburn.
