The Camden Garden Club will hold its next meeting on Monday at the home of Mrs. Bill Denton. The home has wonderful views of Kendall Lake with a great floor plan and large picture windows for a very peaceful and quiet setting just perfect for the club meeting this month. There will be no scheduled speaker but the program will be on judging arrangements. A randomly selected group of members will be provided flowers and greenery and asked to make an arrangement. Afterwards there will be a follow up discussion and judging of these creations.

In additions to this, there will be the club’s regular judging of arrangements and specimens. Each month, members are encouraged to bring in any arrangements or specimens from their own gardens. The theme for this month is “Now and Forever” and it is suggested they use all natural materials and also try to include a unique South Carolina theme or plant. The judges are Brenda Sullivan, chairman, Fair Ariail, Nancy Campbell, and Elizabeth Fort. This month there will also be a plant exchange for members to swap with each other to help expand and explore new varieties.

After the judge’s report and the program, hostess chairman Meta Markley, will have help from Meta Beard, Nancy Creek, Kate Denton, and Susan Witkowski to put out a spectacular spread for club members to enjoy as they discuss the judging and swap the plants.
