Half days for school May 26-27

The Kershaw County School District will hold half days for students May 26 and 27, the final two days of student attendance for this school year. Students in developmentally delayed and 4-year-old kindergarten classes will not attend. SEAGUL classes will not be held. 

All schools in the district will follow an early dismissal schedule on the last two days.  School lunches will be served to students, and teachers and staff will work regular hours.  Early dismissal on the last two days facilitates high school exam schedules and records completion at all schools. 

High school graduation will be held at 9 a.m. May 28 at all three of the district’s high schools: Camden High, Lugoff-Elgin High and North Central High. 

High school staff will work May 28 as a records day; elementary and middle school staff are furloughed. All schools and offices in the school district will be closed May 30 for an employee furlough day. 

Dismissal times May 26 and 27 will vary from school to school due to bus routing.  Dismissal times for individual schools will be as follows:

 ATEC -- 11 a.m.

Baron DeKalb Elementary -- 11 a.m.

Bethune Elementary -- 11 a.m.

Blaney Elementary -- 11 a.m.

Camden Elementary -- 11 a.m.

Camden High -- 11:25 a.m.

Camden Middle -- 11:15 a.m.

Continuous Learning Center -- 11 a.m. (North Central area pick-up), 11:15 a.m. (Lugoff area pick-up) and 11:30 a.m. (Camden area pick-up)

Doby’s Mill Elementary -- 11 a.m.

Jackson School -- 11 a.m.

Leslie M. Stover -- 11 a.m.

Lugoff Elementary -- 11 a.m.

Lugoff-Elgin High -- 11:30 a.m.

Lugoff-Elgin Middle -- 1:15 a.m.

Midway Elementary -- 11 a.m.

Mt. Pisgah Elementary – 11 a.m.

North Central High – 11:30 a.m.

North Central Middle – 11:15 a.m.

Pine Tree Hill Elementary -- 11 a.m.

Wateree Elementary -- 11 a.m.
