A logging truck overturned Thursday around 10 a.m. on U.S. 601 near I-20 in Lugoff. The driver was exiting I-20 when the accident occurred, said S.C. Highway Patrol (SCHP) Lance Cpl. Trevor Clinton. According to Lugoff Fire Department Chief Dennis Ray the driver of the truck got out of the vehicle on his own, suffered only minor cuts and went to the hospital in a personal vehicle to be checked as a precaution. No other injuries were reported. Ray said the SCHP will be investigating the cause.
