Elgin's EPIC adventure

The Elgin Police Department (EPD) delivered a load of fun at its first Elgin Podunk International Challenge (EPIC) May 14 to raise money for the EPD’s annual Toy Round Up and Caring Hands charity, which provides food and toys to families during the holiday season. The EPD also provides regular check-ups on the elderly in the Elgin community to ensure their safety and well-being. The festival kicked off with a welcome from Mayor Brad Hanley and the Pledge of Allegiance. Games, food and entertainment were offered for all ages.
