Tornadoes and flooding have ravaged the mid-states in recent weeks. The Red Cross has been working overtime and its resources are stretched to meet the challenge. The Kershaw County community can help.

INVISTA will host a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday. Go to GiveLife.org and schedule a time or call John Mattis at 425-2728.

Walk-ins are welcome, but organizers recommend avoiding the morning as that time is most busy. Scheduling a donation time is the most convenient way to donate.

Donors will receive a chance to win $3,000 for rent, gas or groceries.
