The Kershaw County School District will close its Parent Portal for system maintenance on Friday, June 10.  The portal will reopen at the beginning of the 2011-12 school year.

“We have received great feedback from parents on being able to have online access to the assignments and grades for their children,” said Kershaw County School District Superintendent Frank Morgan.  “This has been a very effective communication tool.”

In addition to current averages in each class, the online system contains grades for individual assignments.  Parents can also e-mail teachers directly from the system.  Attendance for elementary and middle school students is recorded on a daily basis while high school students’ attendance is recorded for every class.

Parents who have used the system this school year will retain their sign-in information including their current passwords.  New parents or parents who did not use the system this school year will be able to sign up at their children’s schools once the portal is reopened.
