L-EHS' Wood named National Achievement Scholarship semifinalist

Lugoff-Elgin High School student Jack Wood is among 1,600 African-American high school seniors who have been designated as semifinalists in the National Achievement Scholarship competition.  Only 48 South Carolina students were selected for this recognition.  He now has an opportunity to compete for approximately 800 scholarships worth over $2.5 million to be awarded next spring.
