Carl and Mollye Robinson celebrated 50 years of marriage June 25, 2011 at 3 p.m. which they have called “A Golden Celebration.” They reaffirmed their vows at Camden First United Methodist Church with the Reverend Ellis White, Jr. officiating. A reception was held at the Kershaw County Health Resource Center. It was a family affair as their children Carl Jr., his wife Valerie, Anthony and Melanie and grandchildren as well as several other family members played major roles in this celebration. Carl, a retired elementary principal, and Mollye, a retired library media specialist, met in Camden August 1959. They were next door neighbors on Campbell Street. They attribute the success of their marriage to their faith and a lot of support from their families, their church and many friends and acquaintances.
