The North Central High School volleyball program will hold its “Dig Pink” night this evening when rival Andrew Jackson comes to town for a non-region doubleheader.

The junior varsity match kicks things off at 5 p.m. with the varsity contest to follow at 6:45 p.m. inside The Castle in Boonetown.

Fans are asked to dress in pink in an effort to help support Breast Cancer Awareness Month as NC shares in a night of remembrance, survival and volleyball. A prize will be awarded to one Pinkfest fan. Fans may also participate in a “Serving for a Cure” competition and a chance to win a T-shirt while also taking part, if they wish, in a pledge donation for their team based on kills throughout the contest. Pink balloons will also be on sale and the name of a loved one, affected by breast cancer, may be written on the balloons, which will be tied to the bleachers. There will also be a donation jar placed at the pledge table.

All donations will go to the Side-Out Foundation.
